Job PurposeThe Sales Support Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing guidance for Design Consultant resolution of post-sale issues. This individual serves as a liaison between other departments and the design consultant as it relates to that resolution.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Reviewing and processing post-sale documents.Overseeing the completion of outstanding order tasks.Assisting the Sales Education team with workshops and systems training in a classroom setting.Navigating and resolving post-sale problems between Furnitureland South clients and design consultants when an escalation occurs. Since communication with all departments as well as our clients is required, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential in this role.Assisting design consultants with order entry, overrides, and processes.Assisting with some sales manager responsibilities when there is not one available including handling cash deposits, working with a design consultant to help close a sale, and counseling for job-related functions.Work with Sales Managers to help develop and coach Design Consultants related to post-sale performance.Other duties as assigned.This is an onsite role. Required Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited University and two to four years of sales or sales management experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Proficient with NetSuite
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in the Home Furnishings industry
- Specifically in Furniture Sales or Furniture Sales Management
Working ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desk top computers, photocopiers and smartphones. The job is primarily sedentary with the majority of the day spent at the computer. This position can be fast-paced and requires the ability to work under moderate stress.Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This job can also require the ability to be able to traverse the Showroom, Mart, Outlet and Distribution Center occasionally to inspect and photograph furniture.
