SUMMARY: You will be joining a seasoned, experienced, and successful team and will be responsible for supporting the sale of Commercial & Industrial Solar, Battery Storage and Microgrid projects in Southern California. A successful Sales Support Specialist helps the sales team communicate with potential clients, send and process utility data requests, and prepare preliminary layouts and draft proposals.

The Sales Support Specialist helps qualify potential clients by following up through phone and email and completing a preliminary needs assessment. The Sales Support Specialist will utilize proposal tools and collaborate with Manager, sales, design and estimating teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage incoming lead flow with direction from Director of Renewables Sales and Proposal Manager.
  • Proactively communicate with new and existing clients by phone and email to gather customer information and utility usage data, answer questions and qualify leads utilizing defined criteria (script).
  • Perform data entry, accuracy validation, and update/maintain CRM (Salesforce) regularly and accurately.
  • Route and track qualified leads to Sales Team.
  • Complete post installation report, including gathering data from completed project documents, submitted sales proposals, and operations team.
  • Assist the Proposal Manager with overflow proposal and bid support.
  • Transition projects from sales to operations after project win, including transferring necessary project information and files to Project Engineer or other Project leaders with clean and accurate data.
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives by scheduling events and trainings, scrubbing databases, and updating marketing materials.
  • Support the CRM Administrator in basic Salesforce administrative tasks.
  • Maintain and track sales presentation materials within a central depository.
  • Work with CRM Administrator to troubleshoot Salesforce and integrated programs for the Sales Team.
  • Support Sales Management with general administrative support and other sales initiatives, such as, analyzing Salesforce.com stages, operations workflow, and more.
  • Administer and summarize reports from our CRM system in preparation for sales meetings, management meetings and as specified.
  • Maintain sales tool portals, manage access/upgrades in these portals.
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and follow up with internal staff and customers consistently and timely.
  • Effectively work in a dynamic, high-energy environment and consistently meet goals and deadlines.
  • Other administrative tasks and assistance with other duties as assigned.
  • Learn how to utilize sales support tools.
  • Understand what and how to communicate with clients.
  • Proven ability to provide professional phone etiquette with a confident, friendly voice, ability to work independently and collaborate well across teams.
  • Be proactive to support the sales team in exceeding client expectations.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:

  • Associate degree in Business, Communications or in related field a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM a plus.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
