Salesforce Data Analyst
Our client, a leading academic institution seeks an experienced Salesforce professional to join its Fundraising Division. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced Salesforce expertise, data analysis, and reporting to support fundraising goals and strategic initiatives.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will play a critical role in leveraging Salesforce tools and data insights to drive effective fundraising strategies. This role involves close collaboration with development officers, campaign managers, and other stakeholders, requiring deep technical proficiency with Salesforce CRM platforms, including Sales Cloud and Salesforce CRMA, along with a strong understanding of fundraising metrics and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce-Centered Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data visualizations in Salesforce CRMA and Tableau to track key fundraising metrics such as donor engagement, campaign effectiveness, and overall performance.
- Use Salesforce tools to generate actionable insights that inform strategic fundraising initiatives and identify trends and opportunities.
- Create scalable and reusable Salesforce dashboards and reports with a focus on user-friendly design and functionality.
Salesforce Data Management
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce through regular audits and optimization of data fields and objects.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to refine Salesforce integration processes, ensuring seamless data synchronization with financial systems and external sources.
- Monitor and resolve errors in Salesforce data synchronization while ensuring compliance with best practices for data governance.
- Enhance the functionality of Salesforce Sales Cloud to support complex fundraising operations and workflows.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with fundraising staff and leadership to identify Salesforce-based solutions tailored to their reporting and analytics needs.
- Present Salesforce-generated insights to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
- Provide training and ongoing support for staff on effectively utilizing Salesforce tools and adhering to best practices in data management and analysis.
Process Improvement & Industry Trends
- Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Salesforce reporting and data analysis processes.
- Stay informed about the latest Salesforce features, fundraising trends, and data visualization advancements to enhance the institution's capabilities.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or a similar role with a significant focus on Salesforce platforms.
- Advanced expertise in Salesforce CRM, including Sales Cloud, CRMA (formerly Einstein Analytics), and integration with other tools.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, SQL/SAQL, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
- Strong knowledge of fundraising metrics, donor lifecycle management, and campaign performance indicators.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex Salesforce data into actionable insights.
- Experience designing and managing Salesforce workflows, custom objects, and fields to optimize fundraising operations.
- Strong communication skills for presenting data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Administrator or Advanced Administrator Certification.
- Experience with Salesforce in an education or non-profit-related setting
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
