Job DescriptionJob Title: Salesforce Developer Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm Location/s: ON-SITE (remote not considered) Willingboro, NJ OR Chicago, IL OR Arlington, TX OR Seymour, CT FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt, Full Time JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our team and help drive the customization, implementation, and optimization of our new global Salesforce platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Salesforce development, with a focus on building and enhancing custom features to meet the needs of our users. As a Salesforce Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to deliver scalable solutions that improve business efficiency and streamline operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Develop Custom Solutions: Design, develop, and deploy customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components to support key business functions.
- Integration Management: Integrate Salesforce with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring data consistency and seamless data flow across applications.
- Salesforce AppExchange: Suggest ways to optimize the use of 3rd party applications to enhance the go to market sales activities and processes adjacent to the core Salesforce platform.
- System Optimization: Identify and implement solutions to improve system performance, data integrity, and overall user experience.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure alignment of Salesforce capabilities with business needs.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing, debugging, and validation of Salesforce solutions to ensure they meet quality standards before deployment.
- Documentation & Training: Document system architecture, design changes, and user instructions. Assist in training end-users and providing ongoing technical support as needed.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with Salesforce releases and new features, recommending improvements to the existing Salesforce environment based on evolving best practices.
- Technology Alignment: Ensure IT systems, CRM tools, and other sales-related platforms are optimized for performance and integrated seamlessly across teams.
- These may be modified from time to time; other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of IT systems, software development, and sales-related technology infrastructure (e.g., CRM systems).
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Certifications: PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Budget Management: Proficiency in managing budgets and understanding financial impact related to project investments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 3-5 years of Salesforce development experience with proven expertise in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Component Framework.
- Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required; Platform Developer II is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Salesforce platform development with strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with Salesforce declarative development tools like Process Builder, Flows, and custom objects.
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs, and experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems.
- Knowledge of SOQL and SOSL for efficient data manipulation within Salesforce.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git, Jenkins) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY
- Probationary Review - A written evaluation of the employee's will be issued to determine permanent employment. This is typically done approximately 80 days after employment.
- Annual Reviews - A more detailed review of the overall performance in this position, where the employee is rated and typically compensated in accordance with that rate.
WORK SCHEDULE This is an exempt position which requires a work schedule that will achieve the results and objectives identified by the company and the CIO. Generally, the company operates and most of those who will interface with this position work normal business hours which are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Nights and weekends may be worked at the discretion of leadership based on current project and implementation needs, deadlines, and workload.
