This position is designed for an individual eager to develop skills in designing, building, and implementing custom applications using Salesforce's declarative customization capabilities. The role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our Salesforce applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Communities, and connected applications such as Zuora 360, Experian, Form Assembly, Netsuite, and other 3rd party applications. The candidate will assist in service desk requests, manage changes and enhancement requests, and proactively maintain system upgrades and integrations. Ensuring data integrity and security, collaborating with product owners and stakeholders, and continually improving Salesforce products to enhance business processes and customer experience are key aspects of this role.   • Design and Develop Declarative Applications: Assist in building scalable and maintainable custom applications using declarative tools such as Flow Builder, Lightning App Builder, Approval Processes, and Schema Builder to meet organizational needs.
  • Build Custom User Interfaces: Use Lightning App Builder to create interactive and user-friendly custom pages tailored to the needs of different business stakeholders.
  • Configure Data Models: Work with senior team members to design and maintain custom data models, including creating objects, fields, relationships, and record types to support business processes.
  • Implement Business Logic: Develop and optimize declarative automation using Salesforce Flow, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, and Formula Fields to streamline workflows and ensure data consistency.
  • Optimize User Experience: Customize page layouts, Lightning record pages, and mobile views to improve user experience and efficiency in accessing Salesforce applications.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into actionable Salesforce declarative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators: Work closely with Salesforce Administrators, Network Engineers, Quality Assurance, IT security, Director of IT, VP of IT to ensure system integrity and quality.
  • Salesforce Administrator: Understand Salesforce organization at a Salesforce administrator level and be able to assist in all essential Salesforce administrator functions.
  • Create Declarative Integrations: Collaborate on declarative integrations between Salesforce and connected systems using tools such as External Objects, Platform Events, and AppExchange applications.
  • Document Development Work: Maintain detailed documentation of application designs, business process changes, and customizations for future reference and scalability.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous testing of custom applications and declarative solutions to ensure proper functionality and alignment with business needs.
  • Train Users on Custom Applications: Create training materials and provide hands-on sessions to ensure adoption and effective use of custom Salesforce applications.
  • Support Advanced Declarative Features: Assist in implementing advanced platform capabilities such as Dynamic Forms, Dynamic Actions, and Lightning Web Runtime.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned by Management: Provide additional support or take on responsibilities as directed to further the goals of the organization.
  • Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor and follow the Association's current employee and member injury reporting procedures.

Requirements
  • Currently in School for or holder of a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
  • Working towards a Salesforce Certified Administrator (CRT101) and obtain certification within six months of appointment.
  • Working towards a Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification (CRT403) and obtain certification within 18 months of appointment.
  • Relevant or related technical experience.
  • Experience as an advanced Salesforce user.
  • Experience developing custom applications nice to have but not required.
  • Skills required to capture and document: code, managing repos, test scripts, business processes, system design, change management, and requirements.
  • Technical and communication skills required to problem solve user issues and system problems.
  • Knowledge of YMCA operations a plus.
  • General understanding of relational databases, coding languages, data structures, APIs, data integration tools, and office applications, web and mobile applications.
  • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be willing to work an on-call schedule rotation as required.
  • Must be willing to travel within Central Florida. Must have a valid Driver license. The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • The physical activities of this position include: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions. Talking is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels, with or without correction.
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment.
  • The employee must be able to perform light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • The employee is required to have close visual acuity, along with the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading, or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
  • Must possess auditory and verbal capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in person.
  • The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
