As a senior member of the Salesforce team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Salesforce solutions that meet the needs of our business. This role will work closely with IT and Business leadership to define the Salesforce roadmap, with a goal of improving Old Dominion's ability to exceed our customer's expectations. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in Salesforce architecture, configuration, and customization, combined with strong communication skills.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable and high-performance Salesforce solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and industry standardsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into technical solutions on the Salesforce platformLead the technical design sessions and architect complex technical solutions using Salesforce and related technologiesPerform hands-on technical implementation, with a focus on delivering functional solutions on the Salesforce platformConduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices and maintainabilityEnsures technical solutions are comprehensive and consider end-to-end business processesEngage cross-functional teams on complete end-to-end integration solutionsProvide guidance and mentorship to the Salesforce development team on technical and functional design aspects of Salesforce implementationsEvaluate new Salesforce releases and features, providing recommendations for process improvementsEnsure Salesforce solutions align with security and data compliance standardsJob QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience:7+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology and/or Systems Application Development related rolesMinimum 4 years in a Salesforce architecture roleSalesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect preferredProven experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect in complex environments, ideally within the transportation or logistics industryStrong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, Apex programming, Lightning components, and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as ANT, SFDC Metadata API, GitHub, Azure DevOps CI/CD PipelinesExcellent communication skills with the ability to present technical ideas and high-level concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, guiding and mentoring developersStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business valueCompensation Range:The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
