- Conducts food establishment inspections for restaurants, and food trucks.
- Conducts food inspections in schools, daycares, and foster homes.
- Facilitates food handler classes.
- Responds to City complaints in reference to environmental health issues from public (311 calls).
- Monitors and inspects illegal food activities.
- Serves as sanitation prevention and control expert for all public health emergencies; maintains sanitation at all shelters during an emergency and/or City event.
- Will be required to drive City vehicle for City business use
- Performs related work as required

Minimum Qualifications Required Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited* college or university in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
- At least one (1) year of experience in environmental administration, lab testing, or related experience

- Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
