Sanitation Generalists to join our growing team.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
WHAT YOU WILL DO • Maintain sanitation equipment as needed. • Complete regular and end-of-run clean-ups and periodic cleaning tasks. • Verify cleanliness of equipment before releasing to production. • Ability to perform overhead cleaning in multiple departments • Ability to perform drain cleanings • Must be able to work and communicate as a team member. • Ability to recommend continuous improvement ideas. • Report all safety concerns and potential hazards. • Ability to complete any assigned sanitation cleaning projects that arise • Ability to complete any assigned janitorial cleaning • Perform any duties assigned by Management. Be a team player, interact and communicate professionally with co-workers and be able to take direction from others • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for a food plant and all applicable regulatory, customer and company requirements (policies, procedures, regulations) • Provide cleaning/sanitation coaching to other team members. • Comply with all safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal OSHA rules and regulations • Operate streamers and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures • Be trained and comply with all required Personal Protective Equipment. • Responsible to disassemble and reassemble equipment for required cleanings • Perform cleaning and sanitation activities as determined by the Master Sanitation Schedule • Works in temperature extremes, indoors and outdoors • Works at heights to plant ceiling and exterior silos • Operates several types of powered industrial equipment (Scissor Lifts, Single Man Lift, Aerial Lift) • Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of facility and production lines • Works within enclosed and/or confined spaces, must be able to obtain a Confined Space Authorized Certification • Responsible to keep accurate written records and complete reports • Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator test. • Completion and certification in Chemical Safety.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU • Lift 50 pounds. • Able to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, twisting and crouch occasionally. • Able to reach above shoulders • Able to become certified to operate a hand truck, fork truck, and vertilifts • Able to become trained in confined spaces • Able to work from heights • Understand Sanitary Design, chemical safety, and cleaning procedures • Able to work overtime when needed • Able to work weekends when needed • Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles • Able to work in hot and humid conditions • Have strong organizational, communicative, and interactive skills • Monitor plant cleaning supplies • Meet all required safety trainings • Have the capability and initiative to perform duties without direct supervision • Have strong time management skills
