Sanitation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promotes a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all.
- Ensures safety is a priority in day to day functions.
- Ensures food safety and food defense in the plant.
- Implements all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control with the facility.
- Maintains a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for the operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations
- Knowledgeable in best practices and safety, to understand MSDS information, and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Follows and complies with all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Communicates effectively with supervisors, co-workers and other departments.
- Proficient at routine preventative maintenance as well as changeovers.
- Follows all safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Attends all company training sessions and team meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Have received a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work
- Must be able to work in a team environment and work independently
- Manual and finger dexterity.
- Work in a noisy environment for length of shift.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Reach above shoulder height.
- Siting, bending, twisting, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, pushing/pulling, and walking for length of shift
Work Environment:
- Work in a noisy environment
- Work indoors as well as outdoors
- Work in wet and/or humid conditions
- Work in cold or hot environments
- Work around machinery
17.50/hr
2nd shift
12:00pm-8:30pm Wed-Sun (Off Mon and Tues) Train on days for two weeks 5:30am-1:30pm.
OR
12:00pm-8:30pm Fri-Tues (Off Wed and Thurs) Train on days for two weeks 5:30am-1:30pm.
