Overview:

JOB SUMMARY: Overall leader of Plant Sanitation including setting the vision for overall Plant sanitation, developing strategy to deliver sustainable sanitation results while driving continuous improvement to meet GSF objectives, to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, and comply with established regulations for food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Leads the facility in developing & maintaining an effective Sanitation program, including Plant sanitation vision, sanitation strategy, Master Sanitation Schedules & SSOPs. (20%)2. Develops and monitors sanitation KPIs - leading and lagging indicator metrics to embed sustainability and continuous improvement into Plant sanitation. (5%)3. Strategically partners with 3rd party chemical provider on industry best practice sanitation methods and installs at Plant.4. Monitors the daily activities of assigned staff, providing instructions and performance feedback to ensure that productivity and quality objectives are met or exceeded. (10%)5. Collaborates with Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure that all new equipment installation is validated against performance criteria to ensure that the overall process is not adversely impacted and that all food safety/sanitary design requirements are met. (10%)6. Ensures the facility meets sanitary design requirements and recommends changes as needed. (5%)7. Serves as the Sanitation SME for the facility. (5%)8. Reviews and analyzes sanitation related data and information to compile reports and presents them to Sr. Management team focusing on root cause analysis and best practice data. (5%)9. Drives improvements, cost reduction and increased efficiencies and effectiveness in the sanitation programs. (10%)10. Ensures all CIP systems are validated and conducts Sanitation audits to ensure the overall program is effective. (10%)11. Evaluates sanitation investment opportunities for capital planning purposes. (5%)12. Investigates and troubleshoots Sanitation related issues and ensures timely completion & verification of related corrective actions. (5%)13. Ensures the execution of the sanitation training program to promote smooth operations, enhance their understanding of GSF policies and objectives, and to ensure compliance with established production policies and procedures. (5%)14. Leads and participates in divisional network teams to advance sanitation. (5%)15. Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary

LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Manages 1 Sanitation Manager, up to 3 supervisors and 30 hourly associates Ability to lead by influencing. Possess a facilitative style of management.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related areas from an accredited university.Experience:Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in a food manufacturing environment with Sanitation management or supervisory experience
