**Description**
The SAP Inventory Clerk will be responsible conducting physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. Take action on inventory issues.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Responsible for establishing operational SOPs for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing inventory, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current and accurate.
* Responsible for inspecting physical condition of inventory and storage areas and reports any issues to manager.
* Responsible for preparing reports and documentation using SAP, ability to train in SAP.
* Responsible for consulting with department heads to ensure coordination of inventory activities with production, sales, customer service, quality, planning and purchasing.
* Responsible to insure compliance to documentation / traceability procedures.
* Responsible for directing salvage of damaged, slow moving, obsolete or used material.
* Responsible for working together with Shipping Manager to trouble shoot shipping, receiving, warehouse and inventory issues. Recommends CAPEX proposals to Shipping Manager.
* Responsible for supervising cycle-counters in their standard work and direct shift activities.
* Responsible for conducting / tracking / documenting inventory cycle counts as assigned.
* Responsible for conducting periodic inventory counts as directed by management.
* Responsible for following CI / Lean guidelines for department.
* Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
* HS Diploma / GED required; College degree preferred
* SAP experience required
* Minimum 3+ years in shipping / warehouse experience.
* Strong communications
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Must be team oriented and self-directed
* Must be able to effectively communicate in English; verbal and written form
* Must be able to lift a maximum up to 50 lbs.
* Must be committed to quality, safety and communication
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
* Must be able to work overtime and some weekends
