Overview:
Responsible for a variety of SAP related tasks including but not limited to creating and uploading LSMWs, working with the business to understand needs and develop specifications, participating in 3rd Party integrations with SAP and implementations. This person would participate as part of the global SAP team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business function areas to fully understand and define SAP system requirements. Make recommendations for business solutions. Develop technical specifications based on these requirements
- Work as a team member within own IS group and other departments to implement new systems or perform system changes
- Create and load LSMW files
- Design and implement SAP programs that will satisfy company requirements
- Test system changes for successful integration
- Assist or Participate in ERP project implementations or modifications/enhancements
- Design, develop, debug and modify ABAP programs and other SAP objects and processes to complete smaller projects as well as supporting larger complex projects
- Provide ongoing system and programming support in SAP
- Other duties as arise with new initiatives

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem solving techniques to develop programs and systems that are efficient and effective at providing the functionality requested
- Strong ABAP programming language skills required to complete the development.
- SAPScript and SAP SmartForms programming and layout skills
- Familiar with using LSMW
- SAP development tools, debugging techniques, performance tuning
- SQL, table design, knowledge of SAP tables
- Excellent communication skills, team, and interpersonal skills to work closely with the business users to understand and define system requirements and then make recommendations for business solutions.
- Ability to understand the comprehension level of the user and communicate effectively with them
- Ability to work within a team and to communicate system requirements and timelines to internal/external IT resources
- Design, develop and modify programs, objects and process to complete smaller projects as well as supporting larger complex projects
- Ability to work with business users in a support role to define problems and understand root cause of system issues
- Ability to prioritize workload and quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residence required.
Education/Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in SAP ABAP development (SAP R/3 ECC 6.0) preferred
- Experience working in or implementing a HANA S/4 environment a plus
- B.S. in Computer Science or comparable work experience
- Experience using SAP SmartForms and SAPScript
- SAP development tools, debugging techniques, performance tuning
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to see details at a close range; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; work in office setting.
