Job Title SAS Senior Business Analyst Start Date October 2023 Duration 6 months - 960 hours (very good chance to get extended) Hours Per Week 40 hours per week. Only 24 hours are billable in the 1st week Client Location Madison, Wisconsin Working Arrangement 100% remote DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES The consultant must have Medicare Claims data processing experience . Partner closely with members of the SAS team to uncover analytical business needs within the Medicaid client Perform the following: Solid standard business analysis skills including Requirements gathering and documentation ETL requirements for new data sources Report and analytics requirements Meeting facilitation Understanding business objectives Communication skills, both written and verbal Quick to catch on to new concepts, ability to roll with the punches Competent using Visio Prefer previous Jira experience Previous data warehouse experience, specifically focused on ETL Ability to accurately document ETL-based requirements Write Technical Design Documentation Basic understanding of ETL coding, with SAS being a plus Healthcare experience, preferably in the government space Ability to handle multiple projects at one time (minimum 4/5 but up to 10) Examples of possible reporting needs: Traditionalost and utilization reporting Federal Reports such as CMS-64 Quality Measures (HEDIS-like measures) Program Monitoring, Reporting, and Evaluation for Medicaid programs QUALIFICATIONS - ESSENTIAL A minimum of Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required and equivalent work experience required. Successful candidates will possess: The candidate must have experience with Medicare Claims data and large databases. Health care industry domain experience, such as; o Understanding of claim handling processes, concepts, and industry trends 7 years of Business Analyst experience. Deep experience doing reporting with healthcare claims and eligibility data Knowledge of common acronyms associated with Medicaid and healthcare (FPL, MCO, HMO, managed care, etc) Relevant experience in the Healthcare industry preferred (commercial or govt). Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing activities. Be proficient in Base SAS programming ( DATA step ), SQL programming (i.e., use of SQL pass-through or PROC SQL), as well as the SAS Macro language for use in making code more efficient. Good written and spoken communications skills in English and thought-leadership skills.
