Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for safely saw cutting exotic metal billets with a bandsaw to meet customer's requirements which will include meeting specified cut weight ranges. Operator must be able to understand, and document cut information per customer requirements. Operator may be required to run more than one saw at any given time.
MAIN DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Use of saws with human interface
* Use of cranes
* Use of measuring equipment, tape measure, depth gauges, calculator, etc.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
* Need at least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
* Prior bandsaw experience required
* Able to perform basic arithmetic using a calculator.
* Good fast paced work ethic.
* Familiarity with nickel & titanium super-alloys
* Team player with an excellent attitude and motivational skills
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical, arithmetic, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills
* Capable of making sound decisions
* Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Hours/Overtime
* 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) - operator to train on day shift until we are confident they can run safely and productively on 2nd shift
* Weekend Overtime may be requested and will be available most of the time
