MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH BIG TIMBERS AND BUILDING TRUSSES.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates daily production assignments as designated by Location Manager.
- Confirms production details with Sales.
- Coordinates with sales regarding customer needs with log home products and quotes.
- Assists with development of specialty products and services associated with the log home market.
- Processes log product orders and monitors confirmation for accuracy on orders.
- Works to reduce waste and provide for maximum product usage and efficiently
- Assists with check-in of log home products and monitors for damage and back orders.
- Monitors incoming and manufactured products for quality control.
- Maintains a safe working environment and safety conscious work area.
- Maintains a regular maintenance schedule on all shop equipment.
- Complies with company procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
- Provides contractors with the highest level possible of customer service.
- Maintains housekeeping for assigned work area.
- Assists supervisor and other employees as needed.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms.
- Ability to communicate with customers, employee and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
- Interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift, up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Reach overhead, grasp, bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
