Job Summary:
Responsible for supervision of SBA closers and closing process, SBA loan file review, documentation examination and liquidation file coordination and submission.This role requires a strong understanding of SBA lending processes, excellent leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Supervise and support a team of direct reports responsible for SBA loan closings.
* Manage the closing process for SBA loans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
* Collaborate with internal departments, including underwriting and processing, to streamline workflows and optimize efficiency.
* Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance and knowledge.
* Monitor loan pipelines and prioritize workload to meet closing deadlines.
* Ensure adherence to SBA regulations, company policies, and procedures.
* Serve as a point of contact for escalations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Generate reports and analyze data to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to SBA lending.
* Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA Patriot Act including Customer Identification Program, customer due diligence identifying high risk accounts, reporting suspicious activities to Supervisor or BSA Department.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in SBA lending, with a focus on loan closings.
* Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role required.
* Strong knowledge of SBA regulations and lending guidelines.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proven leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
* Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software.
