Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Loan Opportunities: Independently source and develop nearly 100% of new SBA loan opportunities within your market, leveraging your network and expertise.
  • Manage a Robust Portfolio: Build and manage a high-quality SBA loan portfolio within the Southeastern region, driving growth and profitability.
  • Originate SBA Loans: Ensure compliance with current SBA regulations while originating loans that meet both customer needs and bank standards.
  • Client Relationship Management: Conduct thorough interviews to assess clients' financial status, creditworthiness, and collateral eligibility.
  • Streamline Loan Process: Oversee the loan process from origination to closing, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for clients.
  • Cross-Sell and Build Relationships: Promote additional bank products and services, fostering long-term client relationships alongside your loan accounts.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies that achieve organizational and regional objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the bank at local civic and community events to increase brand awareness and support community outreach.
  • Flexible Work Options: Position can be onsite or hybrid, offering flexibility based on your needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of SBA lending, credit analysis, and financial concepts, with an ability to structure complex loans.
  • Proven Success: A track record of self-sourcing and closing SBA loans, with at least $10MM in net new loans per year.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay goal-oriented, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle complex tasks with precision.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster strong client relationships.
  • Relationship Builder: Proven experience in cross-selling banking products, emphasizing relationship-based selling strategies.

Preferred Experience

  • SBA Lending Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in originating SBA loans, ideally within a community banking environment.
  • Relationship Banking: Strong history of cross-selling bank products and services while managing a growing portfolio of clients.
