Key Responsibilities:
  • Scale trucks in and out, receiving and shipping, control truck traffic
  • Monitor appointment times for inbound and outbound docks
  • Answer phone calls and emails from internal and external customers
  • Print off and file pick-lists from printer and generate bill of ladings
  • Maintain various tracking documents and shipment logs
  • Prepare customs documents for Canada and over seas
  • Keep the shipping office neat and tidy
  • Communicate with order center on problems surrounding outbound pick-lists
  • Ship packages via UPS
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to multi task and have excellent organizational skills
  • Proven computer/tech skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, Copier, Scan, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically both verbally and in writing
  • Must be self-motivated, versatile and able to make good use of time in slower periods by supporting other departments as requested
  • Must be Customer focused (both internal and external) and have a good attitude
  • Knowledge of Canadian Customs documents and processes a plus
Schedule: Hours are from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday-Friday. Overtime will be required occasionally. Week-end work required (typically one weekend quarterly for inventory). Physical Requirements:
  • Requires sitting at a computer approximately 70% of shift and standing 30% of shift.
  • Starting wage depending on experience.
