** Scanner/Packager- Peckham Inc.**

SUMMARY:

Working in a large warehouse environment, loading and unloading trucks, scanning and pulling orders from inventory, building and packaging shipments. Will handle unpackaged and packaged finished goods, moving them to and from rack storage in preparation for the final packaging and shipment.

* **Wage: $11.25 - 13.00 per hour**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

* Transport product to the aggregator and racks using pallet jack

* Process boxes through aggregator and affixing box-level RFID tags

* Confirm box labels and RFID tags match

* Burn box-level RFID tags and create replacement tags

* Replace defective hang-tags on garments

* Review packaging discrepancies on product ran through aggregator

* Create Short/ Over packages as needed

* Package MDOC orders using computer and scanner as necessary

* Assist in packaging and scanning as needed

* Maintain 5S standards

* Basic Excel spreadsheet knowledge is required for this role.

* Use of Odyssey software modules and scanning tools

* Must possess or have the ability to obtain a forklift license

* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift/or move up to 100 pounds.

* Participate in Peckhams safety programs and ergonomic activities is required.

* Other related duties as assigned

Pallet jacks, Aggregator, Computer software (Excel, Odyssey), Handheld Scanners

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience matching the skills and knowledge of the Shipping Technician position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print, enter data, and speak simple sentences in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form in the English language. Have problem solving ability. Ability to pay close attention to detail.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. There is not heating or air conditioning in the Airport Warehouse. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position will move to other work areas as business requires. Person needs to have the ability to ask questions and voice concerns in relation to work and work environment. Background check is required.
