If you want to make a difference and join a team impacting student lives, apply today to be a part of our Ugly Eagle community!Job SummaryProgram Overview: Our high school theatre program is seeking talented individuals to fill the roles of Master Carpenter, Scenic Designer, and Scenic Painter for our upcoming musical and spring play. These positions are part-time and are structured around the production needs of each show. The program runs after school, beginning around 4:00 PM, and offers flexibility in scheduling based on show timelines. Responsibilities: -Execute scenic painting techniques (such as texture, faux finishes, and aging) to realize the scenic design's vision. -Collaborate with the Scenic Designer to select appropriate colors, finishes, and materials. -Work with and guide student painters, instructing them in proper techniques and fostering a creative learning environment. -Maintain cleanliness and organization of the painting area and supplies. -Ensure all painting is completed in a safe manner and that hazardous materials are handled properly.Requirements / Qualifications-Experience in theatrical painting techniques and creating textures and finishes for stage productions. Prior experience working with students is preferred. -Strong organizational skills, creativity, and ability to work independently. -Previous high school or educational theatre experience is highly desirable.
