The Schedule Engineer works with the project team to provide support for construction operations and schedule deliverables.
Job Responsibilities - Assist in project scheduling, working with the project schedule to support detailed short and long-term schedules.
- Prepare deliverables to communicate schedule to the client and stakeholders.
- Track onsite construction activity progress to maintain the project schedule to aid project leadership.
- Assist in proper project planning, developing work packages and preparing production indicators/benchmarks, and developing activity schedules.
- Verify quantity tracking data and measure productivity compared to baseline assumptions.
- Interpret production goals from work packages to ensure daily communication of productivity goals is understood by crews executing the work.
- Track progress of the major Vendors and Subcontractors to ensure that materials are manufactured and delivered in a timely fashion as not to impact the project schedule.
- Coordinate the transmittal and subsequent approval of all submittals to the Owner/Engineer.
- Perform other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications/Requirements - Requires a four-year degree in engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience in heavy infrastructure construction.
- Interest in all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods): craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, estimating, schedules, and safety preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Computer skills including Primavera, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be willing to travel.
