Position Summary:
Maintains nursing department schedules and in-servicing while tracking budgeted hours.
Essential Functions:
* Because Brookhaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care
* Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one's feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift frequently a minimum of 10 pounds and up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally

* Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others

Position Responsibilities:
* Must follow Brookhaven Policy and Procedures
* Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements
* Monitor nursing department hours daily
* Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues
* Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing
* Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA
* Assist in ordering medical supplies and maintain proper inventories for resident use
* Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
* Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors Assists in payroll processing
* All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Computer skills recommended.
* Customer service, administrative and organizational skills required.
* Experience with scheduling for a nursing department required.
