Position Summary:

Working within the NCI Project Management Department and reporting to the Scheduling Lead. The Scheduler is responsible for gathering, validating, and integrating project data into and maintaining Microsoft Project Schedules. The Scheduler will work on multiple projects at any time.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with NCI Project Managers, Lead Scheduler, and other stakeholders to develop, maintain, and update project schedules in PWA
  • Gather, validate, and integrate data from various departments including Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations
  • Generate and analyze PWA Schedule reports for Project Managers and stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential scheduling conflicts, and implement solutions
  • Analyze critical paths and identify potential risks or delays
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status

Experience and Education:

  • Associate's degree in project management preferred, engineering, or related field accepted
  • 0-2 years of experience in project scheduling within construction, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with various stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered

Knowledge and Critical Skills/Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling methodologies and practices
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and MS Project Online
  • Strong data management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to establish positive inter- and intra-departmental relationships
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Professional and positive attitude
  • Experience in schedule planning and management
  • Ability to manage tasks, prioritize effectively, and evaluate project progress
  • Skill in facilitating interventions when necessary

Work, Environmental and Physical Demands:

  • In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls
  • Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment
  • A valid drivers license for any business travel

Environmental Safety Requirements

  • Safety training is required of all newly hired employees
  • All safety related training is provided and tracked by the EHS Department
  • Job specific training modules deemed necessary by employees Manager or Director will be required of all employees on an ongoing basis

Employees are required to wear Nikkiso provided PPE as/when needed. PPEs include safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic apron, cut resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks. Failure to comply with Nikkiso Cryo safety requirements will result in disciplinary actions, up to and including termination.
