OVERVIEWCadrex is searching for a Scheduler II who will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive production schedules that align with customer demand, capacity constraints, and inventory levels. Your expertise in production planning, strong analytical skills, and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams will contribute to the successful execution of our production plans. By monitoring and adjusting schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and addressing potential bottlenecks, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of production operations and meeting customer expectations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Supply Chain teams to understand customer requirements, lead times, and production constraints
- Analyze production data, including order volumes, material availability, and equipment capacity, to develop optimal production schedules
- Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in customer demand, material availability, or production constraints
- Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with procurement and material planning teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
- Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant stakeholders, including Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams
- Track and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, prioritize urgent orders, and manage capacity constraints
- Support the implementation of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems and continuous improvement initiatives
RequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or related roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a complex production environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in using scheduling software or advanced planning and scheduling (APS) systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data analysis and record-keeping
- In-depth knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocols
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
