As we continue to grow, we will need highly skilled Schedulers to join our team to support our various clients (LAWA, City of LA, LACCD, DMH, LACMTA, and more).

The Role

The Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive construction planning schedules for new construction and renovation projects while simultaneously reducing liabilities and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. These schedules will include various scenarios to optimize construction sequencing and contracting strategies. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our client's initiatives and ensuring alignment with their business goals.

Responsibilities

Directly manage the scheduling of multiple interdependent projects on behalf of the owner

Review project schedule submittals from Design and Contractor teams, ensuring compliance with contract requirements through independent analyses of preliminary, baseline, four-week look-ahead, monthly updates, recovery schedules, and as-built schedules

Facilitate coordination on interface issues between multiple projects and ensure adherence to project and activity code structures

Analyze contractor delay claims and related time impact analyses, identifying disruptions, accelerations, and recovery opportunities, and recommend apportionment of delays and costs per industry practices

Assist in change order and claims disputes by applying relevant contract sections and providing observations on potential delay mitigation and related schedule issues

Prepare reports and briefing materials that effectively communicate complex project sequencing and forensic assessments, contributing to the advancement of company goals through collaborative efforts

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or another related technical field required

10 + years of scheduling experience in addition with 5 plus years in direct support of an active construction project

Direct forensic scheduling experience to assist in claims analysis for large-scale, complex heavy civil projects, including both vertical and horizontal developments, with a minimum value of $200 million and a duration of three years or more

Demonstrated experience scheduling for multiple concurrent and interrelated projects

Experience with various delivery methods, including Design/Build, Design+CMAR, Design-Bid-Build

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera Project Planner Version 6.0 +, MS Project, Claims Digger, Schedule Analyzer

Proven experience in scheduling multiple concurrent and interrelated projects, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and scheduling information to non-expert audiences

Strong collaborative skills to work with subject matter experts and resources in supporting the owner's evaluation of claims

Prior experience on large transportation and or aviation projects

Excellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: AAAE, LEED, PMP, PMI-SP, PE, and AICP / or any other relevant professional licensure of certification

Salary Range: $130K - $180K / based on experience

Status: Fulltime W2 - Medical, Vision, & Dental Insurance

Location: On-site - Jobsite & Corporate Headquarters located in Greater Los Angeles area
