Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Scheduler. This is a full-time position primarily based out of the Marklund Wasmond Center located in Elgin, IL. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, on-call Monday-Friday. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.
Who We Are:
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Responsibilities include:
+ Manage and implement the monthly working schedules for direct care staff including nurses using scheduling software.
+ Responsible for receiving and replacing call-offs from direct care staff.
+ Approve & process all requests for PTO use for all direct care staff.
+ Monitor overtime and create reports for Administrators.
+ Authorize overtime or agency use when necessary.
+ Complete approval of time cards for IHR staff.

Required Experience:
Qualifications:
+ HS Diploma
+ On-Shift proficiency desired
+ Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
+ Ability to accept phone calls after work hours Monday-Friday (company phone provided)
+ Willingness to travel to both locations as needed
+ Some experience in a similar role preferred (Health Care Facility Unit Clerk, Unit Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, etc.)
