Job Title: Scheduler
Reports to: Director of Estimating/Preconstruction
Job Summary:
The Senior Scheduler focuses on developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules. Acting as a liaison between project management, field operations, and stakeholders to ensure that all scheduling-related activities align with the project's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive preliminary master schedule informed by the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to outline key milestones, deliverables, and critical activities. Ensure the schedule serves as a strategic roadmap for project execution and facilitates seamless implementation and adaptation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Incorporate safety considerations into all scheduling processes, ensuring compliance with safe construction practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to create bid and proposal schedules that reflect project scope, key milestones, and resource requirements. Align schedules with client expectations to support competitive proposals.
- Integrate labor, material, and equipment resource plans into the master schedule to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
- Identify scheduling risks, including delays, resource shortages, or unforeseen circumstances, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines. Work closely with site staff to address scheduling issues, resolve conflicts, and re-sequence activities as necessary, updating CPM schedules per project specifications.
- Assess the impact of design and construction changes, performing detailed analyses to identify risks and delays. Communicate findings and proposed solutions with project owners, executives, and team members to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
- Collaborate with project controls teams to integrate cost, schedule, and performance data, ensuring alignment with project budget and timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders, effectively communicating successes, risks, and scheduling concerns to strengthen collaboration.
- Prepare and deliver detailed schedule reports for project executives.
- Conduct post-project schedule analysis to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements for future projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction scheduling
- Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of construction principles, processes, and field operations, including the ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Expertise in value engineering (VE) schedules, optimizing project timelines to the shortest responsible duration while balancing cost, risk, and constructability.
