Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our team in managing the scheduling and coordination of utility projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project scheduling tools, experience with transmission infrastructure, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for transmission line and substation construction projects, ensuring all critical milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Schedule Development: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and resource needs, and create a comprehensive project timeline.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule delays or risks. Proactively communicate updates to stakeholders and recommend corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status reports and updates on project timelines, progress, and changes. Highlight any potential impacts to the schedule and suggest mitigation strategies.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure proper resource allocation and scheduling for project teams, equipment, and materials required to meet project goals.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment on schedules and project objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess schedule-related risks, develop contingency plans, and help manage issues that may affect project timelines.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all scheduling activities are in compliance with internal processes, industry standards, and safety regulations specific to electric utility transmission projects.
  • Change Management: Incorporate changes into project schedules efficiently and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler, with power or utility projects.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and electrical transmission systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with project tracking and reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of the electric utility industry, particularly in transmission lines and substations, is a plus.
