Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled Scheduler/Program Planner to join their team. This role is critical in developing compliant program schedules that serve as valuable management tools, facilitating the success of various projects across multiple functional groups. Develop detailed and logical program schedules to ensure compliance and utility as a program management tool. Integrate program plans and schedules across functional areas including finance, engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and quality. Prepare regular updates and reports for the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for program management, customers, and business personnel. Monitor progress against scheduled activities, identify performance variances, and implement work-around or recovery plans as needed. Analyze schedules, including critical and driving paths, as well as risk and opportunity assessments, ensuring compliance with Combat Vehicles, customer, and industry requirements. Timely preparation and submission of contract deliverables related to the IMS and Integrated Master Plan (IMP). Ensure compliance of all schedules and deliverables with internal policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.Required Skills: 4+ years of planning/scheduling experience. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams. Coachable with a desire to learn and improve. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Continuous improvement mindset. Proficient in Open Plan, MS Project, or other planning software. Understanding of Earned Value Management principles.Preferred Skills: Experience with AcumenFuse, AcumenRisk, Milestones Pro, Oracle, or Cobra. Familiarity with program schedule forecasting and analysis, particularly in a U.S. Defense program environment. Thorough understanding of U.S. DoD schedule policies and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
