Overview:

The Woodlands at Canterfield, a brand new Assisted Living and Memory Support community located in West Dundee, Illinois is looking for a dynamic Team Lead/Scheduler. This is Full-Time position.

Position Summary

In this role, will be responsible for scheduling and maintaining adequate nursing staff for the community. Will also be responsible for promoting the dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy choice and righs of the residents at the community. This role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication reminders and social and spiritual pursuits. This role will also render personal care to residents and monitor their physical and cognitive wellbeing. Will also serve as a mentor to new associates following the orientation plan.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Recording, typing, duplicating, filing and maintaining of nursing department communications, both internal and inter-departmental.
  • Maintaining departmental manuals such as: quality assurance information, associate attendance, budget records, resident status information, office equipment information, computer system information, and Franciscan Communities policy and procedure manuals.
  • Assisting the Director of Nursing, including duties such as, but not limited to, budget preparation and monitoring, meeting and presentation preparation, quality assurance reporting, and payroll monitoring and preparation.
  • Initiate and mail family/resident care plan letters of invitation, review submission reports for errors, corrections, or omissions.
  • Maintains an organized and professional office environment. Screen incoming calls/visitors/staff to the nursing department, prioritizing tasks or communications as required. Works as a liaison for residents and family issues, directing them to the proper clinical or administrative staff in a timely and caring manner. Works as a liaison for staff with issues in the same way, directing them to the proper administrative staff for resolution. Exhibits service-oriented behaviors and actions to help provide a pleasant and supportive environment for those we serve.
  • Attends the monthly Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement meeting, monitoring attendance and recording minutes for the Quality Assurance Coordinator.
  • Assisting nursing management as required, including computer tasks, implementation of associate recognition events and other duties as assigned.
  • Organization of chart forms, creation of additional forms and documents, evaluation and development of office systems as required to adapt to changes and to streamline nursing administrative tasks.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of adminstrative office
  • 1 year of experience as CNA in Long Term Care/Assisted Living
  • Ability to multitask
  • Payroll Procesing Experience
