Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Vice President, Managing Consultant, Senior Consultant and/or Project Consultant II, the Scheduling Consultant position provides a broad range of administrative, managerial, and technical support on company projects.This individual is responsible for providing project control tools including meeting minutes, action item lists, trend charts and project schedules. Over time, this individual would be capable of taking on more of the day-to-day management projects with minimal oversight and direction moving up to a Project Consultant and then Senior Consultant role.You will provide support to project team members to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established means and methods and client policies and procedures. You will also assist in developing, monitoring and maintaining schedules for multiple construction projects of various size and complexity.With senior-level guidance and supervision, you will work with project stakeholders to identify detailed tasks, durations, dependencies and resources to build the Overall Project Schedule (OPS), update and maintain the Overall Project Schedules (OPS) and NearTerm Schedules (NTS) throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects.You will provide analysis, evaluation and forecasting of current project status with the established baseline schedule and access schedule performance and advise the team on status and preventive/corrective actions required and assist in assessing the impact of design and/or construction changes and schedule slippage. Scheduling Consultants usually work long hours, at time 50 - 60 hours in a week.For the most part you will be assessing the status of work being performed on a project, build a report and meet with all participants, go over your evaluation and determine how to get the project back on track. This is a high travel role requiring anywhere from 50 to 60% overnight travel.You will usually be at your home base one week and travel either within the state or nationwide the next week.They would like someone with any experience with Primavera 6 (P6) Scheduling Program, Microsoft Project and/or Visio but if you have experience with any type of scheduling programs, be prepared to speak about it.Base is $70 to $85k depending on experience.
