Overview
Manages and oversees scheduling and payroll for designated departments across the UPH-DM organization. Creates work schedules for departments. Ensures accuracy and consistency with payroll and scheduling practices per organizational guidelines. Monitors licensure and certifications required for department staff.

Responsibilities
Scheduling and Payroll
* Manages all scheduling and payroll for designated departments across the UPH-DM organization.
* Creates and maintains multiple work schedules for each department to include RN, PCT, UC and additional roles as requested.
* Updates and manages each department's position controls
* Creates new hire orientation schedules and enrolls new team members into classes
* Train and orient new staff to Web Scheduler and One Staff
* Reviews, approves and denies all staff PTO requests and FTE changes
* Balances schedules and work shifts on a day-to-day basis, changing schedules whenever needed to fill critical needs
* Identifies needs across departments and provides input on hiring decisions needs and
* Manages day to day payroll timekeeping for department staff ensuring accurate Kronos timecard
* Tracks attendance and prepares corrective action forms for departments leaders
* Tracks licensure and certifications required for department staff
* Collaborates with leadership in problem solving scheduling and payroll issues
Data Maintenance
* Assists in preparing reports for department and/or leaders as requested.
* Maintains proficiency in knowledge of software programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, E-mail and others as requested.
* Maintains proficiency in knowledge of One Staff scheduling system documenting shifts worked for department.
* Maintains proficiency in knowledge of Kronos Payroll system documenting hours worked for department and coding accurately to ensure an accurate and efficient personnel budget
* Leads and/or contributes to special projects as required by the department.
Qualifications

Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Associates Degree or higher preferred
Experience:
Prior secretarial or administrative experience. Demonstrated experience utilizing computers along with ability to learn systems.
One year successful secretarial or clerical experience required
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
