Title: Scheduling Coordinator

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

What you'll do:
Serves as the primary patent liaison between Orthopaedic Surgical Associates and Therafit; and is the initial person to greet, instruct and direct all patients scheduling with and visiting the office- utilizing skills of tact, drive and confidentiality in a professional manner.
The Physical Therapy Coordinator is expected to follow the daily protocols of the practice. You are expected to represent our company keeping our vision at the forefront of each patient interaction.
Responsibilities/Duties:
* Primary Scheduling Point Representative:
* Maintain appointment computer scheduling in accordance with office scheduling policies for all Physical Therapy, including:
* Scheduling patients in person at the OSA office
* Calling to pre-schedule OSA surgical patients for physical therapy
* Administrative Support:
* Contacting / interacting with appropriate people and facilities, such as physician offices, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, etc. in regards to patient care.
* Liaison between OSA and Therafit offices
* Handle call volume with accuracy and efficiency for Physical Therapy and chart coordination and preparation
* Verify patient insurance benefits and referrals/authorizations available.
* Perform other administrative support as required.
* On-Site Clinic Location Back-Up:
* Check in / Check Out patients; verify and update all demographic and insurance information and collection of co-payments resulting in proper cash reconciliation.
* Other duties as assigned by managers and leads
Qualifications

Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED.
* One-year medical office experience preferred.
* Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory policies
* Knowledge of insurance regulations, policies and procedures
* Knowledge of medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquette
* Knowledge of electronic medical systems is a plus, including Athena and Centricity.
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Strong organization and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and maintain efficiency
* Computer skills
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to think quickly, professional and efficiently
* Ability to represent our organization in a professional manner
