Job Description: Scheduling CoordinatorLocation: St. Petersburg, FL, 33716Job Classification: Full-time, non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards ActWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our team in St. Petersburg, FL. The Scheduler will coordinate all schedules for deliveries and pick-ups of Company property to ensure efficient and effective operation of the Company's fleet.
This is a logistics-industry position, and the candidate should have strong computer and data entry skills. Responsibilities:
- Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales and operations departments.
- Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client needs.
- Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory; uses judgment to anticipate demand for additional labor in future.
- Ensures accurate and timely delivery of orders.
- Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of units, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
- Maintains master distribution schedule; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays in a timely manner.
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, operations, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, operations, and other related departments as necessary.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- At least three to five years of related experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to learn and master new technologies to aid in scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
