Special Education Scholar Aide Position
Job Summary: This position services scholars based on their IEP (Individual Education Program) needs in the regular classroom. This is a full time position.
* Responsibilities*
* Work with scholars in small groups or in one-to-one assignments to reinforce or follow up on learning activities, or intervention plans
* Assist all scholars by modeling appropriate behavior and attitudes and providing academic support and general guidance
* Collect information on scholar progress through observation, daily contact, and maintenance of accurate data trackers, and progress records/logs
* Support the operations team with clerical tasks, setup, and office duties as assigned
* Qualifications *
* Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education - defined as completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework; or
* Obtained an associate (or higher) degree; or
* Obtained a high school diploma with significant experience working with children and supervising children's behavior
* Paid or volunteer experience working with or serving individuals with special needs or behavioral deficits is preferred
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
