Purpose of this position:
Children's Service Center Substance Use Disorder Program (SUD-Program) which provides Prevention, Education and intervention services within local school districts, is currently looking for an energetic and dependable person who works well collectively as a prevention education team member. If you are ambitious and confident in your ability to learn and help others, the School Based SUD Specialist position is right for you. Join our team of employees to experience the positivity of helping change young people's lives in our School Based (Primary Setting) Prevention and Education Program. Discover the impact you can have with utilizing evidence based services to help adolescents and their families live healthy lives. You will not only be trained to provide services to youth in school districts throughout our area of coverage, but also other various community settings such as daycares, employers, conferences, community events, etc. This team member report to the Director of the Substance Use Disorder Program or designee.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or above from an accredited college or university, with a Major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related field which includes a practicum in a Health or Human Services agency.
Certification as a prevention specialist by a state wide certification body is preferred.
Must pass Safe Crisis Management Training (physical and theory), upon hire and then annually as a condition of employment. Other requirements include:
