As a School Based Therapist, you will collaborate with school staff and provide diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, individual, group and family therapy sessions to students and their families.ABOUT THE POSITION: School Based Therapist

- When school is in session, you'll see students at their respective schools during the school day. During school breaks, you'll see students remotely via telehealth.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO:
- Are motivated, self-starters who can work independently.
- Can represent themselves, the program and agency while working collaboratively with key stakeholders.
- Want the support of an agency to help with billing, scheduling and other tools to help you focus your time on delivering clinical interventions with your clients.
- Want opportunities for training in evidence-based models like TF-CBT or MATCH-ADTC.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts assessments and implements treatment interventions consistent with fidelity to evidence based model(s) if applicable.
- Provides individual, family and group therapy.
- Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes.
- Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
- Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports.
- Maintains collaborative relationships with family members, school personnel and other service providers.
- Works in collaboration with school personnel to identify potential referrals.
- Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.
- Responsible for maintaining client and staff records according to agency policy.
- Participates in weekly supervision and meetings to review client and program progress.
- Additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Master's Degree in mental health fieldExperience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders. Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment, evaluation and provision of individual, group and family therapy. Relevant experience to program model to which individual is assigned.Licensure/Certification/Registration: LMSW, LMFT-A, LPC-A in the State of CT required. LCSW, LMFT or LPC, preferred.Why Join CHR?
