- Position:Hamadeh Educational Services is looking for a School Building Manager to assist with the Building & Operations Department. This person is a responsible and reliable individual with a strong work ethic to help with facility management and maintenance. This position consists of supervising and assisting employees assigned to a building in the proper care and cleaning of the schools and the surrounding area. The employee works with limited supervision and closely with the Building and Operations Team.Academy Mission:The Academies mission is to provide their students with a quality education that focuses on a core curriculum and international cultures including the study of language. The academies provide an education of the whole child by integrating different diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to their college-preparatory program serving families in the Greater Detroit area. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and safe environment at all times
- Proactively manages school maintenance and identifies current and future maintenance needs
- Ensures permanent solutions are implemented for reoccurring problems
- Manages maintenance inventory to ensure availability and to minimize production equipment during down time
- Communicates cross-departmentally with necessary departments regarding maintenance activities
- Supervises and trains staff on an ongoing basis regarding safety and compliance
- Ensures the school building and ground area are kept neat and well maintained
- Ensures all areas of the school are properly cleaned and organized
- Additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:- High School Diploma
- At least 1-2 years experience in Building, Maintenance, and Leadership/Management
- Proven record of results-oriented project management
- Thorough knowledge relating to building regulations and facilities management
- Experience working in culturally diverse setting
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be authorized to work in the US
