The primary responsibility of the Operations Manager is the commitment to effectively manage the school bus drivers, administrative duties, and ensure that daily operations of school bus routes, trips, and processes run smoothly.As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the fleet of buses that transport students to and from school. You play a crucial role in the overall planning and management of the bus routes and scheduling, working with the district to ensure a safe, effective, responsive, and efficient transport service to staff and students. You will ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly and are in compliance with regulations according to policies, guidance, and procedures.You will supervise all bus drivers and mechanics, effectively handle issues, and provide guidance. You will recommend salary adjustments, promotions, and dismissals. You must stay current with all new regulations that pertain to the School Bus Industry, CDL Licensing, as well as school district updates, and keep up to date on the proper training of personnel. You will submit monthly billings and bi-weekly payroll, as well as participate in meetings and planning processes as appropriate. You will enact contingency plans as needed and escalate and direct activities during system issues, being able to identify potential issues, troubleshoot, and inform appropriate parties.
