School Case Manager/Admissions Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS

(REQUIRED)

  • Masters degree in relevant field.

  • Relevant NJDOE certification (i.e. school social worker, school psychologist, LDT-C, BCBA, etc).

  • Three or more years relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with team members to implement the admissions/enrollment plan.

    • Read and complete intake paperwork and provide input regarding admissions decisions.

    • Facilitate an intake with Child Study Team/Guardians/Child

    • Assess functioning of students and their appropriateness of school program and provide input regarding the admission decision.

  • Act as liaison between Spectrum360, sending school districts, and other referral sources.

  • Coordinate case management services for students on caseload.

  • Chair Annual Review, preplanning and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings with staff, sending district Child Study Teams, guardians and students.

  • Coordinate the development of all aspects of the proposed IEP.

  • Conduct tours for parents, Child Study Team members or other visitors as requested by the principal or designee.

  • As requested by principal, assist with the admission and intake process of students

  • Read and complete intake paperwork and provide input regarding admissions decisions.

  • Meet with Child Study Team/Guardians/Student

  • Assesses functioning of students and their appropriateness of school program and provides input regarding the admission decision.

    • Provide consultation and training to staff.

    • Provide consultation to Senior Management regarding student needs including class groupings.

    • Assist with risk assessments and child abuse and neglect reporting as needed.

    • Assist with student behaviors when necessary.

    • Attend staff orientation prior to the beginning of school year and Back to School Night.

    • Attend and participate in monthly staff meetings.

    • Attend and actively participate in monthly departmental teacher meetings.

    • Attend and participate in all Professional Development, CPI and Ukeru training workshops.

    • Attend Case Reviews with Consulting Psychiatrists, Administrators, and Clinicians when indicated by the individual needs of the students.

    • Demonstrate professional competence and continuous improvement as designated in a PIP and through participation in professional growth opportunities.

    • Comply with all policies and procedures of Spectrum360.

    • Follow all recommendations of administration.

    • Follow all directives of the Executive Director/CEO and Principal, correcting areas relating to performance identified by immediate supervisor.

    • The duties of employee may require that employees have the physical strength, stamina, flexibility and capacity to assist in lifting a student, who will vary from the ages of three (3) to twenty-one (21), and may be unable to ambulate or transfer and in some instances resist movement. By accepting employment, employee represents that he/she possesses such physical strength, stamina and capacity. If, at any point employee's physical status changes and employee cannot perform any of the essential functions of their job with or without reasonable accommodation, he/she must immediately notify Spectrum360's School Principal in writing.     • Accountable to the Assistant Executive Director and Executive Director, who may advise the supervisor on relevant matters including the performance evaluation.
