Role: School Cleaning Specialist
Pay Rate: $14.00/hour
Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm; 2pm-10pm; 3:30pm-11:30pm
Location: Escanaba, Michigan

Responsibilities:
- Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks across assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
- Utilize protective gear during all cleaning operations.
- Complete cleaning assignments promptly and efficiently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or cleaning product needs to supervisors.
- Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and shared spaces.
- Dispose of trash and empty wastebaskets as needed.
- Respond quickly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
- Follow infection control procedures to maintain a hygienic environment.
Qualifications:
- Preferred high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous custodial experience, especially in educational settings, is a plus.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Must be capable of completing all responsibilities independently after training.
- Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts are essential.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours each day.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work around food and cleaning agents.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by relevant laws.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
