WHIN is currently seeking a high performing Morning School Community Receptionist who is ready to help grow a unique school community where compassion, kindness, and curiosity drive each and every day. Specifically, a School Community Receptionist hours at WHIN are 7:00am -1:30pm- is responsible for:
- Being a welcoming face to all students, staff, families and visitors; serve as the-one-who-knows-it-all to address all who enter the lobby.
- Answering phone and email inquiries, and redirecting them as appropriate to staff in a timely manner if applicable.
- Maintaining a clean, neat, organized and orderly lobby environment.
- Ensuring commonly used forms and/or information for staff and families are readily available and accessible while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal student privacy laws.
- Creating physical files for each student, serving as the coordinator of confidential student medical and demographic information.
- Fulfilling paperwork requests from parents and staff in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Support with arrival and dismissal procedures.
- Ensuring accurate and timely record keeping of student attendance, transportation routes and other confidential information.
- An ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and characteristics:
- Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and a whatever it takes disposition
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Technical skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MailChimp and Google Suite
- Strong customer service skills
- Highly motivated and capable of seeing tasks through from beginning to end
- Ability to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed
