- Must have the ability to deal firmly, yet courteously with the public, be alert, be able to carry out complex oral instructions, and possess good observation and memory skills.
- Must be of excellent character and reputation, to include no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictins involving moral turpitude.
DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:
- Protect and assist students at the schools within the City of Freeport
- Perform a multitude of functions to ensure that students arrive safely
- School Crossing Guards are provided training to include the proper methods of traffic direction
OTHER DUTIES: This job description is intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the School Crossing Guard and is not intended to be all-inclusive. - Must pass a drug analysis test, physical exam, and successfully complete a background check.
