Hill Learning Center, grades 1-12 independent school located in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking an Instructional Assistant to begin in 2025. Instructional assistant (IA) will gain deeper knowledge through professional development and hands-on experience and further explore the field of educationof students with learning differences. IA will work alongside experienced educators and participate in the delivery of research-based methodology in reading, written language, and math. The position is responsible for supporting teachers and the overall programming for students.Roles include:Substitute in classrooms to teach groups of not more than four students following the individual objectives, methods, and techniques designated by Hill Learning Center's staff and/or procedures manual;Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students;Maintain coverage/class support calendar;Participate in professional training programs;Assist with programmatic curricular activities;Attend faculty meetings as scheduled;Supervise students outside of class as scheduled;General academic support.This is a full-time position that includes medical, dental and vision insurance; matching retirement program; extensive professional development opportunities and more!Desired Candidate InformationHill Learning Center actively strives to create diverse, inclusive, and equitable learning environments representative of the communities we serve.
