FIRST ACADEMY LEARNING LAB COORDINATORFirst Academy is a growing Christian school in Rogers, Arkansas. Housed within First Baptist Rogers, FA is open to PK3-6th grade students with plans to expand to middle and jr. high in forthcoming years.We are currently accepting applications for a part-time Learning Lab Coordinator for the 2025-2026 school year.Position OverviewThe Learning Lab Coordinator will lead and manage the Learning Lab program to ensure that students requiring additional support receive appropriate interventions and accommodations. This role includes evaluating students' needs, collaborating with faculty and parents, and tracking student progress. The Learning Lab Coordinator will work closely with students who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans, assisting them with tailored academic strategies to achieve success in a supportive learning environment.Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education; Degree in Special Education preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in special education or a similar setting, including experience with IEP and 504 Plan implementation.
  • Christian school experience is a plus
Schedule
  • This is currently scheduled to be a part-time position up to 20 hours per week. Specific schedule can be arranged around ideal candidate's availability.

Job Responsibilities
  • Displays to students genuine love for God, Scripture, and learning
  • Prays (privately) for each student
  • Oversee daily operations of the Learning Lab, providing one-on-one academic support and creating an alternative learning environment as needed.
  • Coordinate with teachers, parents, and outside sources to assess student needs, plan accommodations, and determine student eligibility.
  • Conduct reviews and conferences with all stakeholders, including parents, teachers, support staff, and local district personnel (as needed)
  • Track student performance, update families, and coordinate quarterly progress reviews with relevant school staff and families.
  • Work with students with IEPs or 504 Plans to ensure needs are being met, evaluate learning progress, and make recommendations as needed.
  • Implement FA evaluation processes and determine accommodations, services, or Learning Lab enrollment as per school policies.
  • Contributes to a cooperative and collegial atmosphere among teachers and staff
  • Avoids gossip by idle conversation about students or others and brings problems up only with the appropriate persons
  • Participates in training and other meetings and initiatives
  • Respects and upholds school policies and standards delineated in faculty policies, student handbooks, and in faculty training
  • Follows Matthew 18:15-17 model for handling conflicts
  • Performs teaching and non-teaching tasks with attention to quality, detail, timeliness, and professionalism
  • Maintains licensure
