The Licensed Mental Health Practitioner/Licensed Professional Counselor provides individual and group therapeutic services in a variety of settings across the age span and works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Licensed Mental Health Practitioner / Licensed Professional Counselor administers an assortment of assessment tools and develop programming as needed to assist in the treatment of a variety of behavioral disorders and disabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides mental/behavioral healthcare for persons with mental health concerns, substance use issues, cognitive disabilities, and other mental/physical conditions Evaluates patient's physical or mental condition Treats patients in an inpatient or outpatient treatment facility or in a correctional/forensic facility using a multidisciplinary approach Provides individual and group therapeutic services Provides targeting counseling designed to help the individual overcome their mental health concerns or substance abuse issues Remains knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care Refers patients to other mental healthcare or medical providers as necessary Develops and implements treatment plans Provides a range of brief prevention, treatment and recovery services, as well as long-term treatment and support Provides documentation to include, progress notes, assessments, and treatment activities that will be required Knowledgeable with treatments such as dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and complicated grief Maintains confidentiality of records relating to patients' treatment Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner or Licensed Professional Counselor in state practicing required Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required Computer proficiency required Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
