Job Description Summary: Ivy Tech Sellersburg campus is searching for part-time adjunct instructors to teach for the School of IT starting. Our courses meet on campus, 1 or 2 days a week, throughout the day, and run for 8 weeks. In addition to submitting a resume, applicants should also include copies of unofficial transcripts and/or current related certifications.Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.Ivy Tech Sellersburg campus is searching for part-time adjunct instructors to teach for the School of IT. - Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
- Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
- Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.
- Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.
- All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.Education, Experience And Other Requirements: A faculty member for the School of IT meets the credentialing requirements by meeting the following:
- Master's degree or higher in information technology, information systems, software development, computer science, cybersecurity, or a computer-related field.
If you don't have the above qualification, then we require one of the following:
- An out-of-field master's degree with documented 18 semester hours or the equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in information technology, information systems, software development, computer science, cybersecurity, or a computer-related field.
OR
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, software development, computer science, cybersecurity, or a computer-related field with documentation in two or more of the following:
- IT Industry certification
- Two years of relevant professional experience
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including the date of the award
- Documentation of research and publication in the field
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEUs, vendor, or military.

- CCNA or above
- CompTIA Linux+ or above
- AWS Practitioner or above
- Azure cloud or above
- CompTIA Project + or above
