Diablo Unified School DistrictThe Paraprofessional is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and/or supervising designee.What We Offer:

Duties:
  • Facilitates teacher directed learning activities including lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, and work assistance
  • Follows through with student's individualized IEP goals including, and managing behavioral deficits and excesses, one on one or as a general classroom support. A classroom support consists of working with multiple students at once.
  • Facilitates teacher directed learning activities including behavioral goals, using reinforcement systems, social skills groups, and transitional services.
  • Assists teacher with classroom duties including making stimuli, making copies, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, preparing materials, and data collection on goals
Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills
  • Successful completion of background screening and onboarding process
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Full command, verbal and written, of the English language
