RC High School Follies Coordinator/Director Job Description Hired by: SRC Campus Administrator and SRC School Board Reports Directly to: Campus Administrator Seasonal Position Date of production: March 28, 2024 (Possible dress rehearsal Thursday prior, and Sat. matinee) REQUIRED PERSONAL QUALITIES A Follies Coordinator at Stone Ridge Christian High School shall: Have received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior Believe that the Bible is God's word and standard for faith and daily living Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. ADDITIONAL PERSONAL QUALITIES A Follies Coordinator shall: Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance and punctuality. Has musical and/or acting/performing experience, as well as directing. Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing Meet the stress of coordinating a school production with a calm, professional and positive approach. Maintain a personal appearance that is is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste and agreement with school policy. Use acceptable English in written and oral communication. Speak with clear articulation. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Management: Oversee the planning and execution of theater productions, including choosing Follies material, script, scheduling auditions, rehearsals, and performances. Develop and maintain a production timeline to ensure all deadlines are met. Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and contractors to manage sets, costumes, lighting, and sound. Team Coordination: Work with the director to support the artistic vision and ensure it aligns with the school's educational goals. Supervise and mentor students participating in technical roles, including stage management, set construction, and lighting operation.
