Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team by conducting psychological evaluations as part of the evaluation process. 2. Serves as a consultant to local school districts for student educational and/or behavioral interventions, in order to assist in the development of a constructive learning environment so that optimum learning may occur. 3. Works cooperatively with administrators and staff from SASED, Member Districts, parents, students, and community agencies.REPORTS TO: Special Education Administrator, Administrative School Psychologist, Director of Special Education or designee. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct individual school psychological evaluations as a part of the full case study which may encompass the following components: a. assessment of intellectual, cognitive and developmental characteristics. b. assessment of achievement, academic level and relative performance. c. assessment of personality characteristics and emotional well-being. d. interpret diagnostic information to identify the specific needs of individual students. e. provide strategies as appropriate to meet the individual or group needs of students. f. analysis of educational and intervention data. g. gain information through student interview. 2. Participate in Response to Intervention (RtI), as deemed necessary, to include but not limited to: a. problem-solving activities b. interventions c. benchmarking d. progress monitoring 3. Provide problem-solving services to children and their families through individual and group counseling to enable students to make optimal use of their educational experience. 4. Serve as a consultant to Member Districts regarding behavior management, learning problems and program development. 5. Provide indirect services and/or interventions, acting as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies. 6. Attend, conduct, coordinate and/or schedule case review team meetings, pre- meetings, and or eligibility meetings as necessary. 7. Communicate and work cooperatively with administrators, staff, parents, and students. 8. Maintain ethical standards relevant to the profession. 9. Organize time, effort, and workload in order to meet job responsibilities. 10.Prepare written reports and complete case study components in the IEP computer program. 11.Maintain appropriate documentation for additional direct services i.e. counseling, consultation, monthly statistics, parental contacts, etc. 12.Participate in and/or conduct in-service training programs. 13.Comply with Medicaid Administrative Outreach activities and Medicaid Fee-For- Service activities as required. 14.Perform other responsibilities and duties as may be assigned.
